Our popular - dare we say infamous - East Coast MegaTraining is back and we're so excited to offer this intense 3-city training experience.
Learn more about the class in general here.
Here are the dates of each city:
Washington, D.C. (February 20-22)
New York City. (February 23-25)
Boston. (February 26-28)
Tour groups visit these three cities more than any other in the U.S.A. They form the most popular routes for student tours, and are central points of arrival and departure for a variety of adult tour itineraries.
This training puts you above the rest by taking you behind the scenes, connecting with vendors, experiencing these cities in an immersive way, making you prepared and more hirable when the tour season starts.
Our MegaTraining class sells out faster than any other class each year, for good reason: there’s no better, more intense and affordable way to master the three most in-demand cities in the U.S. group tour world!
Like lodging, you are responsible for your flights to/from the cities, as well as transportation in between the cities.
We travel between cities on Amtrak, but you don't have to. You can take more affordable buses, or drive, whatever works for you.
Anyone wishing to join Mitch and Alan can, however, book directly through Amtrak to secure a ticket on their train. Fares do rise, so book early. You are certainly free to book an earlier train or bus, too.
In general, plan for your flight to arrive in the city by noon to make it to class by 2:00pm.
Arriving by noon means you'll get to the hotel by roughly 1 or 1:30, depending on the city and airport, and still give you enough time to begin class at 2:00pm. If for whatever reason you can't get there on Day 1 (in whatever city) until later, that's fine. You can always catch up with us.
Departures from each city
If you are only doing 1 or 2 cities, remember that we go all the way until the end of each day. For DC, we leave on day 4 to go to NYC, so if you are only doing DC, you will want to book a flight home on 2/23. The same is true for NYC. If NYC is your final day, you will want to book a flight on 2/26. For Boston, the last day finishes by 4PM - if you need to leave earlier, no problem, although you may miss some of the training.
AMTRAK RESERVATIONS:
Join the TripSchool Team on the following train reservations. Please book your own ticket as soon as you can to secure the best rate.
Feb 23, 2026 - Train #164 Depart DC 9:20AM - Arrive NYP 12:51PM - currently $58
- or Acela Train #2206 Depart DC 9:50AM - Arrive NYP 12:54PM - currently $107
Feb 26, 2025 - Train #160 Depart NYP 9:00AM - Arrive BOS 1:16PM - currently $55
Each City Training follows the same schedule:
Day 1 – Class begins at 2:00pm Eastern. (We highly recommend booking a flight to arrive no later than noon. You can catch up with the group on your own if you need to.)
Day 2 – 8:30am to roughly 7:00pm.
Day 3 – 8:30am to roughly 7:00pm
(***except Boston, the final city and the final day of the 9 days, we will finish at 4pm EST to accommodate evening flights home, should you wish.)
If you are only doing one city, please book your flight home for the next day, to make sure you get the most out of the trainings. If you want to save money by leaving early on the final day, to avoid another hotel room night, that’s fine!
Each day finishes when it finishes; sometimes we run long, sometimes it’s shorter. If you’re doing the entire training, we take Amtrak together between the cities. You’re responsible for booking your ticket, but we’ll release train information to you in January. You are of course free to travel any way you’d like! Train recommendations are above.
